Qualification : Post Graduate in Economics (PhD preferable)

Work Experience : 13 to 16 years

Job Purpose :

- To direct the research efforts and output for Company's in line with the business agenda and with a view to driving and influencing favorable policy for the Exchange

- To supervise and direct the Research team to ensure appropriate, relevant and compelling knowledge support for all teams

- To support the Company to be the - Think Tank- in the commodities field in India

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic :

- Create a research agenda for Company's to drive policy advocacy

- Drive relevant product research, commodities research, forecasting and scenario planning to showcase the expertise of the exchange to all external stakeholders

- Create the advocacy and outreach plan for the exchange and lead the initiatives

- Create relevant - talking points- for all senior leaders of Company's in all external forums; in support of the policy advocacy agenda.

- Conduct macro and long term research to support decision making and accurate forecasting

- Establish relationships with leading policy makers and industry influencer's to drive policy in favor of the Exchange

Process/Operational :

- Review expenditure on data bases

- Conduct product specific research to forecast product trends

- Continuously publish updates on market trends, fundamentals, perspectives on global markets

For Research Institute :

- Design and package relevant courses using external experts

- Drive the agenda of education and information for external stakeholders like jobbers, farmers, brokers, students, etc

- Design and launch data products for revenue generation

People Management :

- Supervise and monitor the Knowledge support team to ensure appropriate, relevant and compelling knowledge support for all teams

- Build capability within the team to conduct effective and useful analysis of trends and data to provide meaningful inputs to the business


- Research abilities
