Chief Digital Officer - eCommerce (14-25 yrs)

Job Purpose:

- To build our ecommerce capability to deliver our ambition of growing our ecommerce sales run ratefrom Annually , 30 crores to 120 croresin 12months as part an omni channel customer experience that will, along with product innovation, be a leading driver of growing total company revenue by 125-150 Cr for FY 21/22 ,(Remaining company targeted at 500 for the same year to give us a company turnover of 625-650).

Measures of success :

- Annual ecommerce revenue, liquidation and profit targets

- Building and implementing a successful Omnichannel approach

- Ecommerce overall contribution to the company revenue and profit growth

- Ecommerce Operations Management & KPIs

- Successful cross functional integration across Marketing, Product ,Technology,SCM

- Quality of the ecommerce customer experience - reflected in customer feedback, stakeholder feedback and performance vs industry benchmarks

- Team performance and development reflected in commercial performance and feedback

Job Accountabilities :

Ecommerce & Digital Strategy:

- Responsible for defining overall digital commerce strategy and P&L ownership.

- Ecommerce strategy development and stakeholder buy-in - including annual budget planning, development of product range and digital roadmap.

- Vision and priorities for ecommerce digital technology, linked to the KPIs & overall Company vision.

- Responsible for innovation on eCommerce platform through regular consumer research and data analytics.

Omni Channel:

- Developing and Executing Omni-Channel Strategy. Establish, manage & scale Omni channel setup for the Brand. Responsible for Implementation and improvement of end to end eCommerce solution for the same

- Quality and development of the Ecommerce customer experience - including both digital and in store through Click + Collect

Digital & Social Media Marketing:

- Implementation & reviews of all online marketing campaigns, including Search Engine Optimization(SEO),Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media Marketing .

- Priorities and effectiveness of performance marketing invested to drive ecommerce conversion and growth


- Setting up Merchandising strategy with relevant internal Partners - Defining Online Pricing & Promotion Strategy


- Would be responsible for integration of different teams across Marketing, sourcing, technology, catalog development, merchandising, supply chain, shared services (HR, legal, finance) etc. and create a well rounded off and integrated team for the ecommerce business.

Candidate Profile:

- The Head of Ecommerce will need to be commercial, highly analytical and have experience of building an ecommerce channel/business from infancy with a cutting-edge digital experience.

- They will have a strong capability around developing ecommerce KPIs to drive improve performance -across all areas of the customer experience - acquisition, engagement, conversion and lifetime value.

- They will understand the complexities and challenges involved in scaling up an ecommerce function and have the confidence and knowledge to navigate these successfully, requiring strong project management and communication skills.

- The candidate will have a background in omni-channel retail. It is essential they appreciate the value of becoming a truly omnichannel business and will be able to work collaboratively across functions to deliver a seamless omni channel experience for our customers.

- They therefore need to be a strong team player with great interpersonal skills and a desire to proactively develop relationships across the business to promote collaboration.

- Important to have had experience in Marketplaces, outright sales, SMUs, Captive website build and growth, national and international. Fashion, consumer, lifestyles preferred.
