Chief Digital Officer - Chemicals/FMCD/Manufacturing Firm (Kolkata)


Job Purpose:


1. Develop and Build Organization Digital Strategy and integrate all initiatives to create unified Digital Framework

2. Lead, drive and execute actions to build the "Digital Culture" within Century Ply organization

3. Define and build "Digital First" organization design across the company and for all functions/ departments

4. Drive Enterprise-wide collaboration and governance to co-develop and create innovative Digital Solutions and transform

5. Identify and responsible for creating and using the technology stack needed to promote business growth

6. Integrate, Provide Oversight and monitor Century Ply IT Infrastructure and SAP Ecosystem readiness and availability

7. Lead and deploy effective Digital and IT Security policies, Governance and Risk Management frameworks, tools, applications and methods to safe guard Century ply Digital Business and Assets

8. Build and drive solution partner relationships and management to ensure effective Digital Programs implementation

9. Build, review and manage Business case for all investments related to Century ply digital strategy

Reporting: Direct reporting line to Executive Director and Promoter board member

Accountabilities:

10. Develop and Build Organization Digital Strategy and integrate all initiatives to create unified Digital Framework

- Review and assimilate emerging and best in class Digital initiatives/ experiences within the Building Materials, allied and consumer facing industry segments

- Responsible for defining the "Digital Business" Vision for Century Ply and build Digital Strategy for Century Ply

- Review, assess and integrate all existing Digital Initiatives/ Projects and programs and drive alignment towards the central Digital Business Vision.

11. Lead, drive and execute actions to build the "Digital Culture" within Century Ply organization

- Responsible for creating a "Digital First" mindset within the Promoter Board and Senior Leadership Team at Century Ply

- Identify, conceptualize and define "Digital Awareness and Literacy" Program framework for driving Digital awareness and adoption within the Century Ply ecosystem - Manufacturing Units, SCM Partners, Channel Partners

- Create, Curate and commission "Digital" experience touch points across the organization and build Agile Skills across key functions and conduct roadshows for key Digital Transformation Use cases within and outside of Century ply organization

12. Define and build "Digital First" organization design across the company and for all functions/ departments

- Review, build and setup "Digital" Organization for Century Ply

- Integrate existing IT/ Technology facing functions of IT Infrastructure/ SAP Ecosystem within the overall Chief Digital Officer Organization

- Review, analyze Century ply Lines of Business, Functions and corporate departments and identify key roles/ responsibilities required to be incorporate to drive "Digital First" and enablement for the overall Century ply organization

13. Drive Enterprise-wide collaboration and governance mechanism to co-develop and create innovative Digital Solutions and transform

- Create and deploy institutional and organization mechanisms to build enterprise collaboration on Digital ideation, conceptualization and development programs

- Define and deploy Digital Program management standards and reporting mechanisms

- Define Digital Programs funding assessment and Business Case review framework

- Ensure governance, review and approval management of all Digital initiatives and programs through such framework

14. Identify and responsible for creating and using the technology stack needed to promote business growth

- Deploy continuous technology scanning process and review appropriate technology tools, applications and methods to support Century Ply Digital Transformation and Business

- Drive and co -create technology and digital solution architecture framework for seamless, open, interoperable and cost-effective Technology solution stack for Century ply

15. Integrate, Provide Oversight and monitor Century Ply IT Infrastructure and SAP Ecosystem readiness and availability

- Support and provide operational oversight for IT Infrastructure management for Century ply

i. Ensure IT Infrastructure investments, operational management and governance is in line with the overall Digital Business Roadmap

- Ensure deployment and reporting of effective Infrastructure operations governance and availability review mechanics include SLA/ SOW reviews and agreements

- Responsible for overall operational and implementation oversight and program management governance for Century Ply SAP Ecosystem related operations/ projects and initiatives

- Participate and provide effective guidance / inputs to the SAP Steering committee and support program governance, review and progress check for SAP S4 HANA implementation and adoption

16. Lead and deploy effective Digital and IT Security policies, Governance and Risk Management

- Define and deploy Digital, Cyber and IT Security policy framework in line with Century ply business needs, potential risk assessment and in line with Industry best in class standard practices

- Implement effective organization practices, governance, and Risk management review cadence to safeguard all Century ply Business and Digital Assets all times

- Develop and participate in Industry wide knowledge and Certification bodies to be able to incorporate effective mitigation responses to all emerging or potential threats proactively

- Ensure robust audit review, vulnearablity assessment through leading Cyber and Digital security professional agencies

17. Build and drive solution partner relationships and management to ensure effective Digital Programs implementation

- Identify, assess and build solution partner relationship with best available professional digital transformation, build, run and operate firms to meet the requirements of Century Ply Digital Strategy

- Deploy effective Contractual governance, Project Management and monitoring framework

- Manage overall investments and cost review on periodic basis

18. Build, review and manage Business case for all investments related to Century ply digital strategy

- Create and deploy framework and tools to monitor, measure and gage effectiveness of Organization Digital Transformation programs

- Build robust KPI , measurement and Review tools and framework for all digital initiatives to deliver business specific performance improvements

- Drive periodic cadence and Business case review and drive actions to ensure all investments deployed deliver results

Education

19. Graduate degree in Engineering

20. Post Graduate qualification in Management with specific focus on Digital Transformation and Cyber Security

Relevant and total years of experience and behavioural attributes

21. Age: 40+ years

22. Experience: Total of 20+ years of relevant experience

23. Nature of Experience:

- Experience of discrete manufacturing industry and processes, industry agnostic

- Experience of managing distributed / multi-site/ multi product Manufacturing facilities

24. Core Skills

- Core Experience in driving Digital Transformation, People Change and delivering Digital First Mandates

- Deep Technical understanding of Digital Landscape in Retail and Distributed Discrete Manufacturing environment

- Experience in driving Digital Transformation initiatives and programs for large organizations with mixed employee demographics

- Experience and exposure on full Digital Stack including Analytics, Mobile, Cybersecurity, Web and eCommerce platforms

- Experience in driving Digital Customer experience and adoption

25. Desirable Skills :

- Exposure to Industrial IoT based Manufacturing

- Understanding of emerging developments in Digital Manufacturing
