Product development & market intelligence
- Lead the planning, design and development of product strategy for the company
- Initiate new product development and implementation
- Contribute to concepts related to product implementation including involvement in communication strategy and revised sales plans
- Plan for potential new products on a cost-benefit basis to allow the management to prioritize and decide on new products
- Prepare business plans for the introduction of new products including monitoring and controlling of costs thereafter
- Estimate the designed product's market demand
- Prepare monthly internal monthly product performance and present results to product team.
- Track product performance
- Obtain commitments on sales targets on various products and assess its implications and consequences for a potential product launch
- Monitor and control the product strategy and - in case of deviation- initiate appropriate counter measures
- Evangelizing key product capabilities to differentiate in the fast-moving ecommerce space, specifically around the area of mobile
- Delivering business and product documentation, feature prioritization and business justification for all projects delivered for the organization
- Understand competitor's products, services& strategies
- Maintain a database of competitor products and analyse the same.
- Prepare monthly competitive reviews and market intelligence reports.
- Understanding and synthesize customer needs from market research, customer visits, analytics, competitive insights and partner/sales conversations
- Track products and services of both local and international markets
- Prepare documentation/communication as per requirements

Digital Strategy & Operations
- Oversee all digital related aspects of the company including the web front end, the omni-channel platform, the marketing stack, the backend systems, the analytics ecosystem and the IT infrastructure.
- Roll out new technology driven products quickly and often. This includes setting up agile development capabilities and the creation of scrum master roles both internally and with outsourcing entities.
- Liase with marketing, IT, and operations on different projects and product launches
- Identify, mitigate and escalate risks as well as working collaboratively with technology leaders from the management teams to anticipate and forecast risks in the short, medium and long term.
Digital Leadership
- Create a culture of innovation among the product team
- Manage conflicting priorities basis organizational priorities and ROI
- Strongly engage with key business stakeholders for inputs into the product strategy so as to ensure its alignment with the overall organizational priorities
- Lead a team of talented product managers and designers to execute on that vision laid out
- Closely partner with the IT team for joint execution of the product and technology vision for the company
