Overall Summary of the Job: Based within the Chief Data Officer team. This role works closely with Business Partners and Business Subject Matter Experts in the creation and operationalization of the Global GBM Data Management Program including but not limited to definition, ratification, support, implementation and maintenance of data policies and data standards and is also responsible for management and oversight of the GSC CDO staff NOTE: The role is that of an Individual Contributor wherein the person has to be a strategic, go-getter and would be an active part of the stakeholder management wherein he/she would be responsible for the Indian as well as the Global geographies of GBM. (I.e. Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Poland, New Zealand, Italy, Turkey) Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions -&nbsp; Operating Model - Establish consistent target state and ensure good quality data that is - fit for purpose-, is provided - Drive GSC producers, consumers and IT to establish clear controls with clear responsibilities and MI to demonstrate data quality - Ensure proper data governance is in place and engaging all GSC function line heads Data Quality Management - Establish data quality metrics and data quality management reporting to measure and monitor data quality - Define Data Quality reporting strategy, driven by business priorities and criticality including senior management reporting and dashboards. - Create processes for definition, application and reporting of Data Quality metrics including program and project level KPIs Remediation and Improvement - Provide data consultancy and support to stakeholders - notably the GSC GBM COO and GSC function line heads - Oversee the delivery of data initiatives to ensure alignment and conformance to data policies and standards Knowledge and Skill Requirements: - Proven banking experience with good knowledge of offshore operation for investment banking and/or global markets - Understanding of data governance foundational capabilities (Meta Data Management, Data Quality Measurement/Reporting, and Issue Management) - Strong management skills and strong executive presence, e.g. experience of working with and influencing COO level stakeholders - Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users - Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain global relationships - Strong leadership and matrix management skills, with previous experience in managing teams - Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, excellent organizational, planning and management skills - Delivery focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality. - Proven experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies related to complex data projects - Good knowledge of regulatory trends and developments (with particular data focus) - Outstanding written / verbal communication and presentation skills
