Chief Compliance Officer - Healthcare Insurance (8-15 yrs)

The candidate gets to be part of a well funded, emerging market leader in the health-care start-up sector, and will be responsible for ensuring organization compliance with applicable laws, IRDA and other regulatory requirements

Some of the key responsibilities include the following:

- Instituting internal policies and compliance programs effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations

- Providing guidance, advice and training's on compliance matters

- Interaction with IRDA and other regulatory authorities on compliance

- Developing policies and programs that encourage managers and employees to report suspected fraud and other improprieties, without fear of retaliation

- Coordinating internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodic review of departments

- Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance

- Respond to alleged violation of rules, regulations, policies and procedures by evaluating or recommending corrective procedures, Develop and oversee a system for uniform handling of such violations

- Monitoring external compliance review processes

Expected Technical skills:

- Qualified compliance professional with 8-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance

- Working knowledge of insurance regulatory acts such as the Insurance Act, 2021, IRDA Act, 2015, and IRDA Health Insurance regulations

- Knowledge of insurance products and services

- P-ast experience handling relationships with Insurance regulators

- Bachelor's degree from a reputed educational institution

Expected Soft skills:

- Quick learner capable of adapting to a high growth environment

- Excellent communication skills, capable of disseminating required compliance knowledge and training

- Ability to minimize conflicts, collaborate effectively, and be inclusive of disparate opinions

- Create an environment of trust to encourage employees to report compliance challenges

- Ability to manage people and situations- attuned to motivating and working well with compliance team members, senior management, and external stakeholders
