Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for-
As Compliance Head
- Managing the Country's compliance risk and providing support to the Managing Director to ensure compliance.
- Assessing the compliance risks faced by the business and to ensure that the Bank appropriately manages those risks.
- Disseminating regulations to business and support function and provide ongoing advisory services to ensure that the bank operates in accordance with all regulatory and legal requirements and Sberbank Head office compliance standards.
- Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the compliance program.
- Correspondence with the regulators RBI, AML regulator etc.
- Provide compliance opinions to the users on applicability of regulatory laws in relation to activities of the bank.
- Preparing and presenting clear and concise compliance reports to the management, HPLBC.
- Promoting a compliance culture.
- Ability and willingness to single-handedly conduct all compliance related functions.
As Head-Internal Control
- Coordinating and participating in the development of measures aimed at reducing the level of compliance risk. Forming, maintaining and controlling the system of internal control and compliance risk management, system for correction of identified violations.
- Perform regular and comprehensive compliance reviews and Internal Control oversight.
- Oversee and monitor the Control risks viz. a viz. Group standards and local regulatory environment, identify breaches and suggest/ implement mitigation measures.
- Review and regular update of policies and procedures in view of new regulations including compliance manuals.
- Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance. Regular reporting to Managing Director and Group Compliance on incidents of control breaches and corrective action required.
- Coordinating efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations.
- Legal and Regulatory
- To act as principle interface between the Bank and RBI on all banking matters. To manage the relationship with the regulators namely RBI, AML authorities etc.
- To obtain approvals / licenses / certifications from regulatory bodies such as RBI's approval for CEO's appointment, Opening of new Branch, Branch shifting and RBI's certification of new product offering wherever needed.
- To ensure legal / compliance diligence for new customers/ vendors on boarding : KYC, Intelligence checks and AML verification.
- Organizing of work of the entrusted unit (subordinate one person - Legal Council
Profile
CA/CFA with 10+ years work experience in the audit and compliance field with any leading retail bank/MNC of India with strong understanding of the compliance laws and regulations related to RBI.
