Job Responsibilities:

- Preparing Technology & Business Roadmap for Database Manageability Solution.

- Responsible for developing Architecture of the Database Tools.

- Recommending the Development Strategy of Database Tools (self-develop - outsource, acquire/collaborate)

- Candidate will be responsible for discussing with senior leadership / technologist across worldwide to conclude and approve the roadmap of the Database Tools.

- Consult various users, customers and related stake holders to understand the Database Manageability Pain points.

- Work with engineering team to guide the development

- Conduct Design and Code reviews and also perform coding of critical modules.

- Responsible for the delivery quality (through design & architecture team) & Owner of the tools architecture team.

Pre-requisite -

- Proven skills in the DB domain (long association with a strong DB company) particularly with Database Manageability Solution, minimum 15+ years of hands on experience in DB domain.

- Strong proven understanding of architecture paradigms (SOA, TOGAF etc.)

- Architecture team management capability

- Road mapping (tech. / business) experience (like CTO)

- Good Delivery track record / Large product team guidance

- Well versed with multiple layer technology (like UI / Java /backend)

- Working with multi-culture teams / geo spread

Product development (leading)

- Either first version of product or Significant addition to product capability

- Sustenance of products in the market (should be deployed)

- Cloud knowledge & proven ability to work with extended partners (like ODC) a bonus

Technical Skills -

- Product engineering including architecture and high level design is mandatory.

- Deep knowledge on cloud internals and cloud solutions (PaaS is required).

- Scalability related architecture work is must

- Web based product development is a plus

- Enterprise architecture is a plus. ITIL kind of certification is good.

- Database internals knowledge is a plus

- Time series database, elastic search, log stash

- Web and cloud security is a plus

- Machine learning algorithms (especially regression analysis)

- Amazon (AWS, especially RDS, redshift), Azure knowledge is a plus

- Knowledge of programing languages (Java, Angual js node.js, python, SQL) is required

- Knowledge of Eclipse RCP is a plus.

Education & Experience

- Bachelors of engineering or Higher from a Tier 1 engineering college with at least 15 years of experience across bigger / large organizational setups in India / across the world.

Travel Requirement - Open to travel for project related work.
