Chartered Accountant - Direct Tax - FMCG (4-7 yrs)
The Employer is one of India's leading food companies with a 100 year legacy and annual revenues in excess of Rs. 9000 Cr. Its products are available across the country in close to 5 million retail outlets and reach over 50% of Indian homes.
The employer has a presence in more than 60 countries across the globe.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Handling Direct tax compliance for the company including TDS, TCS, Tax Audit, Return filing, Transfer pricing, CBCR, etc.,
- Coordinating with the tax consultants for Tax opinions on both domestic and foreign payments.
- Liaise with tax advisors in connection with assessment and appeal proceedings.
- Reconciling form 26AS with the books and advice on the necessary action to be taken.
- Handling Assessment and Litigation.
- Manage End to End Direct Tax Functions.
Desired Candidate:
- First preference is to be given to candidates who have both industry and consultancy experience. Secondly, Candidates from Big4s have managerial skills.
Priorities in the following order for skills possessed:
1. Subject knowledge (direct tax )
2. SAP knowledge (or any equivalent ERP)
3. Team management
4. Assessment handling/ Litigation experience
5. Multi-language skills will be added advantage.
6. Candidates with all-round experience and skill set and not with area-specialized experience are preferred most.
Note - Candidates with core Direct tax experience are preferred.
