CG Power & Industrial Solutions - Senior HR Executive - Switchgear Division (4-6 yrs)

This role reports to AGM - HR and interacts on a regular basis informing him about the recruitment status, employee engagement activities, HRIS and other projects initiated by Global HR. Nature of interaction could be one- on - one, telephonic or through emails which is also followed by formal review mechanism.

Job Purpose :

This role supports Talent Acquisition, Talent development and employee communication which affects the business by providing quality talent and nurturance of the employees so that the business objectives and goals are met efficiently within the desired timeframe.

Key Accountabilities :

1. Recruitment, selection and induction :

- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to ensure that the cluster employs qualified, skilled and diverse workforce to deliver business objectives in time

2. Training & Development :

- Create, facilitate and foster individual and organizational effectiveness in the cluster by facilitating learning and development programs in line with the development needs of the individual and business

3. Reward & Performance Management :

a) Promote a culture of performance management in line with COE concepts - Goal setting, appraisals and rewards to be ensured in the expected and specific manner

b) Ensure and implement rewards and recognition culture aligned with overall organizational framework

4. Employee Engagement :

- Work on culture for open communication or employee communication with effective initiative of mass reach for highly engaged workforce

Key Decisions :

Decisions made by Role Holder :

a. Decision regarding the channel and the process of recruitment

b. Identify and evaluate the candidate profiles for further selection process

c. Decisions regarding employee engagement / communication model

d. Identifying the vendors for recruitment process and L&D programmes in the complex

Recommendations to his/her Superior :

a. Recommendation on the CTC finalization of the selected candidates for the required roles

b. Recommendation on the selection of vendors / consultants who can provide advice for recruitment and training of employees

Key Interactions :

INTERNAL :

1. Functional Heads and Corporate teams

2. Unit Heads and Department heads

3. Finance teams

EXTERNAL :

1. Recruitment Partners

2. External trainers

3. Vendors for employee engagement and recognition activities

Key Challenges :

1. Availability of required talent for the switchgear business in the specified costs and budgets

2. Controlling the aging of critical positions with specific key requirements

3. Successful implementation of Global HR / COE projects and achieving desired results in the given time frame for the large team of switchgear division

Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

Educational Qualifications : Graduate + MBA/PGDBM - HR

Relevant Experience : 4 - 6 years of experience in core HR generalist profile

Necessary Functional Skills required for this job :

- Training and development

- Performance management

- Good communication and data base management skills
