CG Power & Industrial Solutions - Senior Executive/Assistant Manager - Marketing - OEM (8-9 yrs)
Major responsibilities of the role holder's immediate subordinates
Provide rightful &profitable business for existing & new products to achieve budgeted order intake.
- Support sales efforts and exceed budgeted sales.
- Enhance Market Share for existing as well as new products.
- Ensure Customer Base Retention and Expansion.
- Manage Marketing Operations with cost-effectiveness.
- Develop long-term competitive strategy for penetration to new markets.
- Improve Quality of Service (Pre & Post sale); facilitate & guide Regional team for enhanced Customer Satisfaction.
- Increase productivity per marketing/sales personnel through necessary support, motivation.
- Develop systems for market intelligence; ensure easy access and retrieval of information, to service customers promptly.
Briefly describe the nature of the reporting relationship which exists between the role holder and the manager to whom the role holder is accountable.
Direct reporting to CEO. Reports on regular weekly basis the progress on Sales, Order-Input & Collection. Information about competitor's activities & Market Situations, New Product, Order Input/Sales, New Customer Development.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To meet Units budgeted figure. It provides guidance to marketing team & ensure for business in companys defined norms.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Sales & Order-Input:
- Meeting the Budgeted sales figures. Increase in sales target as directives given by the management for existing & new products in home & global regions. Increase the reach by adding new customers, new markets & enhancing our share among existing customers. Support the sales efforts.
2. Debtors control & control cost of sales.
- Ensures that the orders received from the customers are secured. More orders with advance & secure payment terms.
3. Management Reports & Market Intelligence.
- Reporting of performance, budgeting & MIS to top management at set periodicity. Market intelligence data to be collected & timely reported to the top management.
4. After sales & service:
- Improve quality of service (pre & post sales).
Key Decisions:
Decisions made by Role Holder:
- Price Confirmation / Tenders Participation / Promotions
- Terms & conditions / Warranty Conditions / Delivery commitment.
- Decision for New Product / New Customer / New Territory
Recommendations to his/her Superior:
- Price expectation levels.
- Acceptable terms & conditions.
- Market intelligence reports.
Key Challenges:
1. Competition from other manufacture.
2. Increase in number of competitors.
3. Price - War due to volatility in the market.
4. Technology - upgradation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant experience : 8 to 9 years of experience
Necessary Functional Skills required for this job :
Technical/Product/Application
Knowledge of Electrical Tapes.
