Sub Function: PAN India Marketing - Govt. Segment

Briefly describe the major responsibilities of the role holder's immediate subordinates :

- Provide rightful & profitable business for existing & new products to achieve budgeted order intake.

- Support sales efforts and exceed budgeted sales.

- Enhance Market Share for existing as well as new products.

- Ensure Customer Base Retention and Expansion.

- Manage Marketing Operations with cost-effectiveness.

- Develop a long-term competitive strategy for penetration to new markets.

- Improve Quality of Service (Pre & Post sale); facilitate & guide Regional team for enhanced Customer Satisfaction.

- Increase productivity per marketing/sales personnel through necessary support, motivation.

- Develop systems for market intelligence; ensure easy access and retrieval of information, to service customers promptly.

Briefly describe the nature of the reporting relationship which exists between the role holder and the manager to whom the role holder is accountable :

- Direct reporting to CEO. Reports on regular weekly basis the progress on Sales, Order-Input & Collection. Information about competitor's activities & Market Situations, New Product, Order Input/Sales, New Customer Development.

Job Purpose :

- To meet Units budgeted figure. It provides guidance to marketing team & ensure for business in company's defined norms.

Key Accountabilities :

- Identify the most significant responsibilities of the job which have a clear end result for the achievement of which the role holder will be held accountable.

1. Sales & Order-Input :

- Meeting the Budgeted sales figures. Increase in sales target as directives given by the management for existing & new products in home & global regions. Increase the reach by adding new customers, new markets & enhancing our share among existing customers. Support the sales efforts.

2. Debtors control & control cost of sales :

- Ensures that the orders received from the customers are secured. More orders with advance & secure payment terms.

3. Management Reports & Market Intelligence :

- Reporting of performance, budgeting & MIS to top management at set periodicity. Market intelligence data to be collected & timely reported to the top management.

4. After sales & service :

Improve quality of service (pre & post sales).

Key Interactions :

INTERNAL -

1. Design & Production - Made to order type product & to provide more economical designs.

2. Quality - Special test, date of inspection, QAP, etc.

3. Production - Status of planned jobs.

4. Finance - Non Standard terms & conditions.

EXTERNAL:
 
1. Customers: for Business Development, Promotion with end results in the form of order in India & abroad.

2. Consultants: Global approval & acceptance for New/Existing Products.

3. Global Certifying agencies for approval of new & existing products, plant approvals.

4. Global Competitors for Market intelligence.

Key Challenges :

1. Competition from other manufacturers.

2. Increase in a number of competitors.

3. Price - War due to volatility in the market.

4. Technology - upgradation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Relevant experience : 8 to 9 years of experience

Necessary Functional Skills required for this job :

- Technical/Product/Application Knowledge of Electrical Tapes.

- Commercials Involved, regulations, etc.

- Market Knowledge

- Risk Analysis

- Competitor's strength & weakness.

- Customer base.

- Leadership Skills & Team Development
