Salary Offered : 15 - 20 LPA
Scope -
The job holder will be responsible for building, leading and streamlining the Air Freight Team. The job involves, strategic planning, improving and controlling the operational procedures, process mapping, compliance (internal & external), assigning jobs, negotiating rates, profitability, adherence to departmental KPI's and maintaining customer relations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify area's of improvement in productivity, cost, procurement, processes for enhancing freight business and developing new areas of business.
- Carrier relationship & negotiations of rates & services with understanding of the market trends .
- Build and maintain relationship with them to facilitate and promote business
- Coordinate operations the Air freight team in liaison with Account Managers to ensure timely completion of contractual obligations as agreed with the customers
- Support the sales team and account managers with competitive rates for current, new customers and bids.
- Required to act as the lead in issues troubleshooting, this person is requested to advise Sales & CS on the most effective and efficient solution, whilst focusing on service effectiveness/cost/Improvement for CEVA.
- Focus on continuously identify opportunities for improvement areas to and enhancing customer satisfaction & increase in business.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all levels of operations.
- Re-engineer process to improve team- service levels and performance
- Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct Manager or Product Director from time to time to meet the business exigencies
- Establish / Implement departmental & employee goals (KPIs) and keep employees motivated.
- Liaising with various departments of the Customs Authorities.
- Focus on cost management at all time
- Ensure regulatory & Carrier compliance at all time
- Staff are adequately trained in area's mandated by regulations (DGR)
- Working knowledge trade routes and legal requirements across varied geographical areas.
- Understanding of IT platform and its features to have better process control and management
- Structured and timely communication on policy and customer matters to management & network as it is required.
- Ensure resource optimization and high operating efficiency of the department.
- Participate in business review sessions identifying areas for improvement, reviewing KPI's and enhancing overall service quality.
- Responsible for Vendor identification, evaluation and maintenance.
- Help recruiting people and review performances (twice a year) .
