Key Responsibilities
Legal & Technical Responsibilities
- Provide accurate title opinions for lenders including banks and NBFCs, specifically for properties located in Karnataka.
- Conduct and supervise property title searches, documentation verification, and due-diligence processes.
- Ensure all legal reports meet quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations.
- Maintain strong domain knowledge of Karnataka property laws, land records, and documentation norms.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards while handling sensitive customer and property data.
Center Management & Leadership
- Set up, manage, and lead the Legal Operations Center efficiently as a standalone administrative unit.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of consultants, junior lawyers, and operations officers.
- Plan and manage operational costs, productivity levels, and process efficiencies of the center.
- Ensure adherence to all internal systems, processes, and regulatory compliances laid down by the Company and its clients.
- Oversee workload planning, ensuring timely delivery of customer reports, especially during month-end demand peaks.
Team Development & Coordination
- Recruit, train, and develop the legal and operations team for effective online title search operations.
- Monitor daily performance, provide feedback, and ensure high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
- Foster a disciplined, collaborative, and client-focused work culture.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer escalations and complex legal queries.
- Provide pre-sales support including client interactions, product demos, and clarifications on legal processes.
- Track all reports, MIS, and customer requirements; escalate issues promptly to the Head Office (Technology/Operations).
Qualifications & Skills Required
Educational & Legal Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB).
- AIBE (All India Bar Examination) certification is mandatory.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience giving title opinions to banks/NBFCs for Karnataka properties.
Language & Technical Skills
- Fluency in Kannada (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory.
- Working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong computer skills including typing, MS Office, and document management.
