JOB DESCRIPTION : Global Architect

As a Global Architect, Digital and Technology, the primary responsibility will be to help develop our company's cloud computing strategy, rationalize our application portfolio, provide architectural input to the line-of-business product roadmaps, create reference architectures and build books, promote software solution reuse and support code quality initiatives.

Education Requirement :-

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area. Technical certifications (e.g. AWS) desirable or equivalent work experience.

Professional Qualifications : 

- Established leadership experience in large organizations comparable to CBRE

- Proven ability to effect organizational change

- Possesses expertise across multiple architecture domains, forward- thinking, and well-versed in emerging technologies and trends

- Have a strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture and development solutions, with a proven record in technology planning and delivery

- Ability to prioritize and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met

- Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization

- 12 + years of broad experience in the information technology to include business architecture, information architecture & strategy, IT strategic planning in a large global corporation.

- At least 5 years in an architectural or design capacity for 'large scale' enterprise systems.

- Must possess strong organizational, facilitation and critical thinking abilities, to assess complex problems, analyze options, navigate diverse perspectives and objectives and develop acceptable Enterprise application and governance solutions.

- Strong business acumen and successful track record in aligning diverse groups and opinions.

Responsibilities :

- Responsible for providing Global Architecture support for a Digital & Technology Tower.

- Responsible for consulting and aligning business & IT stakeholders to build the overall organizational Digital & Technology Tower strategy, processes, and information technology assets.

- Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.

- Documents and communicates the strategy using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, and adaptable manner.

- Builds a technology vision and strategy for a service line or technical discipline.

- Using a holistic approach, conducts enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation for the successful development and execution of strategy.

- Weighs alternatives and considers service and business implications of decisions related to applications, vendors, and outside consultants.

- Implements policies and defines approach to strategy achievement for the service line or technical discipline.

- Provides authoritative advice to top leadership based on deep subject matter expertise.

- Participate in Vendor reviews

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills Required :-

- Extensive experience in architecting enterprise products

- Experience managing a business application portfolio and aligning it with business needs

- Experience contributing to product roadmaps

- Experience with cloud development and migration

- Hands-on experience in C++, C#, Java, Javascript, Python or Go Lang

- Working experience with web technologies

- Strong expertise in design, development, and maintenance of distributed applications & systems

- Experience working in agile development environment

- 2+ years of experience in cloud based architectures: distributed data architecture, big data applications, microservices architecture; experience with AWS or other cloud vendor desired

- In depth knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3 etc., or Azure equivalents

- Experience designing a Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc, or Azure equivalents

- Experience designing cloud HA and DR strategies.

- Experience designing and implementing cloud devops solutions including IaC.

- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or Azure

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES:-

- AWS and/or Azure Solutions Architect

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:-

Excellent communication skills with ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write presentations, reports and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to build business relationships and partnerships, motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
