About the job :

A Category Manager's role is an entrepreneurial role where you are responsible for the entire region/country/category from the building, owning its display on the platform, and finally owning the PnL of the category. You will also be responsible for building new product lines under it and scaling the overall category as per business goals.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee new and existing product line assortment and modular planning for the category.

- Owning the display and campaigns of the category on the website.

- To identify potential suppliers, negotiate with them, manage existing accounts, and build relationships with partners.

- Increase the overall profitability as well as transaction count of the category.

- Lead a team and provide overall direction for category team

- Designing and implementing new strategies for marketing and business development.

- Own the PnL of the category

Pre-requisites:

- Should be well versed in using tools like Google Analytics, excel sheets and similar tools for data tracking.

- Should possess a high degree of intelligence quotient to take right analytical calls on the data that comes day in day out for the category.

- Passionate about traveling and have traveled extensively.

- Should be high on energy and good communication skills.

- Should have an entrepreneurial mind and should possess a sincere attitude towards the task given.
