We have an opening with one of our client for the position of : Category Manager - Toy Industry

Job Location : Mumbai

Duties and Responsibilities :

Strategic :

- Create 3-5 year strategic plans for core brands.

- Identify new business opportunities and entry strategies for new brands in the Category.

- Support VP Marketing to create Strategic Business Plans.

Operational (ongoing) :

- Create annual marketing plans.

- Create/ Deploy suitable advertising and below the line promotions.

- Manage external agencies ( Advtg./PR/DM) to maximize creative output and effectiveness of dollar spend.

- Use Market Research effectively to gain deep consumer insight.

- Support the Sales Organization with promotional programs and tools to build Superior Customer Service.

- Support VP Marketing in creating annual Marketing plans.

Financial :

- Deliver top-line (revenue) targets.

- Maximize Price-value offering to consumers while achieving profit targets.

Organization:

Support the Marketing and Sales team in building Capability.

Coordination :

Coordinate with Global Product groups and other Country Management to adapt and deploy Global Strategies and Best Practices to the local market.

Requirement :

Education : MBA/PG in Marketing

Experience :

- 7 years plus Sales and Marketing (min 4 years marketing) experience in FMCG or Durables MNC Companies

- Currently Brand/Product Manager

- MBA preferred.

- Cross-functional knowledge specially working knowledge of Finance and in-depth understanding of Sales desirable

- Computer skills and interest is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical skills.

- Right balance of Strategic (thought leadership) and Execution skills.

- High level of executive maturity

- Entrepreneurial, with high growth orientation

- Risk taker. Must be a secure individual not afraid of failure.

- Hands on, action oriented

- Strong oral and written communication skill

- Able to impact the organization with ideas and plans

- Creative, intellectually curious

- Listening and learning skills.

- Fun-loving and extroverted personality. Must be young at heart and have a strong - child within- personality.
