Category Manager - Logistics - APAC Region - Healthcare Sector

Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Procurement, the Sr. Category Manager will create and execute LSP/Airline strategies for APAC. This includes identifying/developing strategic suppliers, negotiating price/tariffs, contract creation, developing and executing cost savings initiatives and leading MBRs and QBRs. The Sr. Category Manager will collaborate heavily with regional operations teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of these efforts.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with branches within assigned regions to ensure accurate understanding of strategic and operations needs.

- Collaborate with branches within assigned regions to ensure the logistics strategy is being executed.

- Collaborate heavily with Business Analytics team to interpret data, identify trends and react swiftly and appropriately.

- Responsible for preparing statistical data for contract negotiations and leading those negotiations.

- Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting and analysis of all traffic

- Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning.

- Manage relationships with LSP's, airlines, freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, owner operators, and trucking companies within assigned regions, monitor performance, lead QBRs.

Basic Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or related field (MBA a plus).

- 5 - 8 years combined experience in Logistics and Procurement

- Collaboration experience with vendors, transportation providers, etc.

Skills and Abilities:

- Seasoned knowledge of supply chain systems, warehouse management systems, replenishment.

- Seasoned knowledge of the trucking industry, distribution, replenishment, category management.

- High degree of credibility and the ability to work with and through all levels of management.
