Your Responsibilities: - Category Growth &amp; Profitability: Responsible for the overall strategy of the product/service category, driving business growth and achieving volume and revenue targets for the category. Should have a view of and drive towards growing the category profitably keeping in mind the consumer and competition. - Product Development and value engineering: this is a key area of the role. Sound knowledge and ability to create a product portfolio with differentiated design and associated product engineering. This will involve developing an ecosystem to enable the organization to create a strong capability in design and engineering. - Coordinate and recruit vendors for design/engineering and coordinating to get product launches in this area. Drive key vendor relationship for the category, identifying strategic partners and negotiating better terms of trade and deals for customers - Understand the category in-depth to oversee value creation and research the product/services category basis the need of the customers and market analysis. Responsible for developing product roadmap for new launches and meeting all product launch timelines at the desired spec and quality. - Conduct detailed spend analysis and benchmarking, evaluate the market and competitive conditions and use as a basis to create data-based Category strategies and sourcing activities. - Marketing promotions: Ownership of all category-specific marketing activities both on the demand and supply side. Should drive visibility plans, promotion plans and coordinate the same between the internal marketing teams - Cross-Functional Capabilities: Should be able to fruitfully coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, import, finance/commercial and other functions of the organization. - Inventory Management: Inventory health metrics (STR - Full season/Fresh, ROS per day, Stock Cover, Core inventory Share% Etc) Apply If: - You have more than 4 years of experience in product development in the consumer durables vertical, preferably in small appliances including kitchen appliances. - You have proven ability and experience in small appliances industry of product launches where product design/engineering was a differentiator. - You are extremely passionate about creating value for the consumer and making a strong impact - You have an outstanding aptitude of numbers and strong business acumen. - You are proficient in data visualization and presentation and you have hands-on experience with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc). - You have a good understanding of the e-commerce industry and online retail.
