Category Manager - Home Entertainment & Household Appliances

Salary - Open

Location - Malappuram

- MBA in Sales & Marketing or General Management from a premier B-school

- Minimum 7 years of business management experience. At least 5 years of relevant Category /Brand/Product Management experience

- Must have handled business of more than Rs 50 crore for an organization

- Desired Industry/category experience: consumer durables, consumer electronics, home entertainment, home appliances, personal care appliances, electrical goods etc.

- Experience of leading teams (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Hold responsibility for the overall P&L of Home Entertainment & Household Appliances categories

- Deliver steep Revenue and Market Share targets with enhanced profitability across product categories

- Perform complete Business Planning for the categories and take full responsibility for the execution of plans

- Monitor performance and ensure progress across all critical category metrics & KPIs

- Define the brand & product strategy and develop product portfolio and product roadmap

- Actively participate in New Product Development (NPD) process and take ownership of market launches

- Undertake extensive market visits to develop insights. Perform market research and competition benchmarking. Understand channel behavior and consumer trends & preferences

- Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategy for General Trade, Modern Trade, and Online channels

- Define product pricing and Trade Schemes & Promotions

- Actively participate in creation & execution of ATL/BTL/Digital Marketing & Branding plans with Marketing team

- Undertake monthly S&OP process and take full ownership of inventory planning & management

- Carry out Key Account Planning & Management - Perform Joint Business Planning (JBP) and maintain day-to-day relationship & communication with sales team and key accounts

- Take all relevant business decisions related to the categories in consultation with internal stakeholders like sales, marketing, warehousing, purchase, factory, accounts, IT etc.
