Category Manager;
Responsibilities -
- Monitor and keep abreast with industry trends and competitors to identify and respond to new opportunities based on market research, trends, customer feedback and requests, and market demand
- Enhance the organization' understanding of consumer, competitive and brand health. Maintains updated knowledge of consumer behavior, competitor products, competitive position and related market trends and drivers
- Partner with cross functional team to articulate product strategy, product roadmap, positioning, and decisions while eliciting commitment of resources.
- Regularly Track competitor action on the ecommerce channel and develop appropriate tactical and strategic answers
- Support in efficient execution of new product launch with identifying unique customer insights, development of end-to-end programs, campaigns and efficiently executions to achieve desired KPIs
- Develop the right content and various collaterals with internal teams, and external agency, ensure cross team collaboration for efficient execution
- Measure and analyze performance of product initiatives against ROI, KPIs, and other metrics. Continually generate ideas for product introductions and expansion
Key Interactions:
- Ecommerce platform partners to collect insights
- BU teams to take product strategy decision while eliciting commitment of resources
Skills required:
- 0-5 years of experience in sales and ecommerce, preferably ecommerce
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts
- Strong knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data
- An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends
- Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence at all levels of the company
- An analytical mind with strategic ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
