Category Manager - Fashion/Lifestyle (4-8 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Category Manager to join our dynamic team in the Fashion/Lifestyle space. As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our product lines, ensuring seamless execution of merchandizing strategies, and optimizing profitability through effective P&L management. Your role will play a crucial part in enhancing our presence in both ecommerce and retail environments, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across omni channels.


Category Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes to drive product selection and assortment decisions.

Merchandizing: Design and implement attractive and customer-centric merchandizing plans for the assigned category. Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop visually appealing displays and promotions that maximize product visibility and drive sales.

P&L Management: Take ownership of the category's financial performance. Analyze sales, margin, and inventory data to identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization. Develop and manage the category budget, forecasting sales and expenses accurately.

Ecommerce and Retail Focus: Utilize your expertise in both ecommerce and retail to lead strategies that leverage the strengths of each channel. Optimize product placements, pricing, and promotions to enhance the customer journey and drive online and in-store sales.

Omni Channel Integration: Ensure a seamless shopping experience across all touchpoints, including online platforms, brick-and-mortar stores, and mobile applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing, promotions, and inventory management effectively.

Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Identify new vendors and foster strategic partnerships to expand product offerings and improve sourcing efficiency.

Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor category performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide regular performance reports to senior management. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and course corrections.


Experience: Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in category management within the Fashion/Lifestyle industry.

Ecommerce and Retail Expertise: A strong background in both ecommerce and retail environments, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each channel.

Merchandizing Skills: Demonstrated ability to design effective product displays and promotional strategies that resonate with target customers.

Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Omni Channel Proficiency: Experience in managing integrated omni channel strategies to provide a consistent customer experience across various touchpoints.

Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong vendor relationships.

Passion for Fashion/Lifestyle: A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the fashion and lifestyle industry, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
