Category Manager - eCommerce
P&L Ownership :
a) Full stack responsibility for top line, contribution margin and EBITDA for respective categories.
b) Strong cross functional partnership with Demand, Merchandising (Supply), Site Merchandising, Inventory & Operations team to deliver profitability goals for your category.
2) Assortment & Merchandising :
a) Deliver on brand promise of head to toe fashion is conveyed, serving the customer fashion for all occasions
b) Define assortment for the brand by product-types / clusters, optimize assortment width within clusters for better inventory turns while ensuring full range availability for the customer.
c) Lead, empower and mentor Hopscotch Merchandising & Supply team in India & China.
d) Lead, design and execute Vendor Partnership Plan with India and China vendors. Lead vendor negotiation and strategic partnerships with key Vendors.
3) Thought Leadership & Partnership :
a) Product & Tech: Engage with product & tech team on long term projects, provide business insights & project scoping for Demand Projects and Supply Projects:
b) Demand Partnership
c) Inventory
d) Pricing Analytics
KPIs :
1. Growth rate, Margin, inventory turns
2. % of assortment featured and sold that is HS branded and high consistency
3. Category Repeat Rates and Conversion
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :
1. A driver personality - biased toward action, great collaborator, and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery. Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
2. Grittiness - you never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to marry instinct with data and metrics to hone understanding
5. Proven experience leading cross-functional projects
6. Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
8. Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
9. Relevant experience of min 6+ years
