II. JOB PURPOSE
- The role holder will be responsible for maximizing the Revenue & Gross Margins for the business by owning up the complete product life cycle of the portfolio in the business. He would be responsible to devise a comprehensive product strategy for s operating in a highly competitive environment based upon analysis of the complex data collected/available on buyers, Influencer behavior & product preferences from a range of different sources and then translate it into meaningful information & drive the business to offer relevant products based on customer preferences.
- The incumbent should be at comfort, in a start-up like an environment and must demonstrate at work, a strong challenger mindset with proven abilities to drive Cross-functional teams and influence critical stakeholders on key pillars of the strategy for the business.
- Own the revenue & the Gross Margins for the entire category.
- Identify new opportunities in markets related to current or allied product category.
- Define the product strategy and roadmap. Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan & working with cross-functional departments to execute the same.
- Develop pricing models and strategy for the newly identified growth opportunities to meet profitability goals.
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for all products and services.
- Manage the complete Product Life Cycle.
- Competitor analysis - expert in having a pulse on the competition and their offerings.
- Business cases for new product development and/or enhancement.
- Manage the development and launch of new products and services as per the project charter.
- Develop sales tools and marketing pitch/product & commercial literature.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by visits to customers and non-customers/exhibitions/subscriptions/online research.

V. QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications :
- MBA from a Tier 1, top 6 B Schools preferably with an Engineering degree.
Specific experience:
- Category management role in a challenger brand in the allied products for about 4 years
Overall experience :
- 6 to 8 years, primarily in Paints / Lubricants having Influencer centric GTM.
