Role : Category Manager Experience : 3 to 5 Years Location : HSR layout, Bangalore Working Days - 6 Days Salary Bracket - 12 to 17 LPA Skills and Experience : B.Tech/ MBA - Premier Institutes - Tier- 1/2. - Candidates with Extensive experience in driving Product, sales and operations for daily essential category or Growth &amp; Strategy experience in a fast growing start-up - Candidates with similar experience in companies such as BigBasket, Instamart, Grofers etc. are preferred - Candidate with analytical mindset and very good with Excel / Powerpoint - Category Manager develops the overall strategy for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets. - Ensuring company product categories along with displays are optimised for sales and marketing. - Researching and analyzing trends in sales and consumer behaviour. - Drafting reports/Presentations for the organisation to enhance sales. - Communicating with suppliers and retailers about products. - Optimising in-store displays with prompted signage, category markers, and category usage tips. - Adjusting strategies and materials to improve sales with new target markets. - Coordinating and briefing market research initiatives. - Checking and managing inventory for various product categories. - Problem solving - Stakeholder management (incl. external stakeholders such as brands) - Analysing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends - Devising long-term development strategies for product categories - Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories - Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory - Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category - Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility - Proven experience as category manager or similar role - Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles - Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods - Proficient in MS Office - An analytical mind with a strategic ability - Excellent communication and people skills About the Company : Startup - A platform that enables small merchants with no programming skills to setup an online store in 30 seconds, has raised $6 million seed funding co-led by Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed India.
