JOB SUMMARY :
- Strategic development of Vmart merchandising programmes and retail strategies for the category
- Find the right partners for tie ups to deliver the sales and margin.
- Find the right partners for right products mix.
- Negotiate with the potential partners for the best deal.
- Maintain the pre determined margin for profit.
PURPOSE OF POSITION :
- Efficient Brand and PL sourcing of the products.
- Efficient resource management.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES / DELIVERABLES :
INTERNAL BUSINESS PROCESSES :
- Plan and implement strategies for layout and customer traffic flow so as to maximize sales, customer satisfaction, appearance, image and brand
LEARNING AND GROWTH :
- Analyse the market to decide on the right products to stock
- Develop knowledge of different sources which would provide the maximum value for money
- Developing knowledge about the competitors strategy and pricing schemes
- Develop knowledge about both foreign and Indian brands and market
- Analyse the current customer needs and trends
FINANCIAL :
- Decide on pricing strategies
- Ensure that the objective of top line and bottom-line is achieved
- Ensure maximisation of budget constraints
CUSTOMER :
- Decide on promotional strategies to enhance footfall
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
(%) Responsibilities :
- 20 Plan and implement strategies for layout and customer traffic flow (per square feet of the allotted space)
- 20 Research and analyze the current customer needs and decide on the best products and categories to stock
- 20 Seek new merchandising categories, trends and products by developing knowledge of both Brands and PL
- 15 Develop knowledge of different sources which would provide the maximum value for money
- 15 Developing knowledge about the competitors strategy and pricing schemes
- 10 Decide on pricing and promotional strategies

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- The incumbent should be a NIFT graduate, PGDM and have similar/same work experience.
