Category Manager - Agri Input Industry (5-8 yrs)
We are currently retained by a leading well-funded Agri startup to hire a Category manager for one of their divisions.
This role will offer you to the opportunity to create and manage the overall product portfolio including P&L Management, People Management, Overseeing Sales and marketing, Inventory Management, and Building alliances.
The role will include:
- P&L Management of the product portfolio
- Leading category management from a product perspective
- Provide strategic direction to the Sales and Marketing team
- Manage a team with ability to groom them
- Manage relationships with the ability to influence
- Build strategies to achieve sales target
- Conduct P&L target setting, planning and execution.
To fit the bill, you must have:
An MBA Agri with 6-8 years strong experience in Crop Nutrient/PGR companies.
- P&L management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with business leaders on their requirements and manage expectations
- Ability to Study and analyse customer requirement & trend, stock inventory at optimum level, and forecast purchase planning.
- In-depth of Crop protection and nutrition market & geography knowledge.
- Should have worked on ground for atleast 3-4 years and strong understanding of farmer's mindset and pulse.
- Have strong experience in building a product portfolio in an agri input business category.
- This role requires someone who wants to work at the - grass root- level and want to make a difference to India's biggest sector.
