Roles & Responsibilities Role:
- Category P&L, Brand Range & Portfolio Selection, Inventory & Vendor management.
- Looking after the operations metrics of the category & driving the same
- Manage Stakeholders across - Supply chain, finance, Category - Buy Side & MP, Marketing Teams, Sales, Growth, etc.
Responsibilities :
- Driving the topline, Profitability and all business related key metrics
- Be the owner for the operational metrics & consumer metrics for the category as well
- Assortment rationalization: Effective assortment management of the category keeping in mind the product & price mix across different locations / zones. Oversee new and existing product line assortment and modular planning for the category.
- Benchmarking National & Regional competitors to maintain competitive pricing on the platform
- Drive the brand alignment charter for the category; Align with all relevant brands & negotiate best TOT with them.
- Designing & Implementing campaigns for the category to drive growth. Owning the display and campaigns of the category on the website. Strategize positioning of a product based on various factors like promotions, brand commitments etc.
- Working with a team of KAMs, Business development managers and category managers to ensure best inputs for the category.
- Creating the best in class team for the category, which raises the bar for the organisation in all aspects.
Experience and Education:
- Postgraduate from premier B-School, with over 6-10 plus years work experience.
- Proven experience in building and scaling categories in an online marketplace. Experience in scaling consumer electronics category is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience and exposure to growing teams in startups that have scaled significantly.
- Should have strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data
- and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Hands-on, self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Ability to work in fast-pace start-up environment.
- Should be results oriented, proactive and showing overall leadership quality.
