Category Lead - Men's Footwear Segment - Retail (9-12 yrs)

Role: Category Head-Men`s Footwear

Brand: Ruosh

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: Head Buying and Merchandising

Reportees-Designers

Responsibilities:

- Overall Category P&L ownership.

- Driving all key metrics from user growth, improving contribution margins, reviewing & managing unit economics and scaling top line at a sustainable basis

- Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates

- Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors- activities to identify opportunities and key issues

- Driving retention initiatives depending upon past trends basis regression analytics.

- Cost effectiveness and budget planning & implementation.

- Provide proactive solutions, brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.

- Effective communication and management of vendor pricing, sourcing category products, one-on-one discussions with vendors, trade shows, and other events.

- Planning & Inventory Management.

- Sale through and Sales Forecasting

- Market research and Trend analysis

- Vendor Management

Desired Competencies and Behavioural Traits:

- Drive for results and team management

- Excellent understanding of the full cycle of vendor management, sourcing & category management

- Ability to think out of box

- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising strategies

- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

- Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices

- Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets

Qualification & Experience:

- 9 -12years of experience in Retail Organization

- Min 9 years of experience in specific category

- MBA-Retail Management (Desired)

- Bachelor`s degree-NIFT/FDDI etc (Mandatory)
