Category Head - Modern Trade - Retail/Consumer Durable (8-23 yrs)
Job Responsibilities of Category Head :
Category Management :
1. Vendor identification, negotiation of commercials, short-listing of the potential vendors as partners.
2. Merchandising - Budgeting and buying products with best commercials.
3. Creating special range of products and creating in-house labels.
4. Range planning and preparation of OTB.
5. Product development
6. Responsible for the Category performances in terms of sales, margins & stock turns.
7. Responsible for developing products for Private Label - along with managing After sales Service for the PL category.
8. Revenue Generation
Preparing Budgets :
1. Ensures sales to stock norms are maintained
2. Ensure that the stocks are as per the stores requirements.
3. Maintains and grows the Category and its Stores share and sales.
4. Achieves Sales targets and ensures profitability of the Category.
5. Developing new avenues for promoting the Category.
1. Ensures that all the activities day to day basis.
2. Help team (buyers) with Store on issues relating to Brands and Merchandise.
3. Ensure proper running of the Schemes.
4. Ensure timely refills of merchandise.
Competition Mapping :
1. Develop awareness about the organized, unorganized Category segments and Identifying their strengths and weaknesses.
2. Identifying competitors in each and every brand Comparing their prices, their supplies with that of ours.
3. Comparing the physical appearances of category, and Area allocation per brand of competitors.
Space Management :
1. Analyze space allocation Brand-wise with respect to the Sales generated, Stock capacity & Season, sales / sqft, contribution / sq ft.
2. Increase or decrease space allocation and make alteration of fittings on the basis of such analyses.
