Job Description :

- Responsible for Sales & Margin deliverable for CDIT business in all Reliance Value Format stores.

- Responsible for category development, defining strategies for Brand roles, category assessment, assortment & shelf management

- Category planning to achieve budgeted numbers and Sales Forecasting

- Build a strong portfolio for own brands (private label) and Non-Private Label in line with customer basket requirement to deliver greater value to them

- Review category wise assortment strategy with Category managers so as to ensure the right mix for shopper delight

- Formulation of detailed category strategy for all Store formats (Supermarkets/Hypermarkets).

- Develop and refine on consumer / shopper / market insights for each category.

- P&L responsibility for CDIT category.

- Deliver Budgeted Sales & Profitability targets.

- Preparing the Annual Sales Plan including Retail sales, manpower plan, distribution objectives, reporting, costs and margins.

- Make format level category budget for sales, margin & other income. Align the department plan with overall business plan and formulate the category strategy in line to achieve format level budget

- Pursue cost reduction measures selecting appropriate vendor mix, scanning the environment for benchmarks and constantly improving the buying process

- Conduct weekly & monthly category performance review and take adequate corrective actions to meet target for the month.

- Collaborate with Operations, marketing and other key stakeholders to understand customer insight and execute customer centric category plans and trade initiatives to increase sales and profitability

- Cross functional engagement with operations, marketing communication, shopper marketing, supply chain & finance teams, in formulating strategies to ensure the rightful support for CDIT category business development

- Market & competition study via regular visits, Nielsen reports & market information.

- Lead, train & develop team of Sr Category Managers, Category Managers & Trade planners to create a high performance and result oriented team

- Vendor management and negotiation. Maintaining Store and DC In-stocks above the targeted levels.

- Contribute in driving and shaping the short- and long-term brand and innovation strategy. This will include developing and implementing positioning strategy, communications strategy and innovation

- filling the innovation pipeline by driving ideation, conceptualization and activation in market of approved innovation.

- Planning and execution for ATL/ BTL activities.

- Monitoring and control over marketing expenditure and planning annual marketing budget.

Skills Required :

- Experience in handling CDIT segment is a must

- Proficient in managing and handling Retail sales and business development.

- An MBA degree from a Premier institute is preferred

- Retail experience preferred.

- Play an integral role in the area of Retail Operations.

- Detail oriented, output-driven and diligent individual

- Highly passionate, motivated and dynamic individual willing to work in an independent high-growth environment

- Good team management skills
