Category Head/Business Head - Internet/Online (D2C Experience Only)

- Focus on end to end ownership of a product category

- Contacting people from leading brands, distributors and importers with a view to explore new business opportunities.

- Meeting with brands and managing the distribution of sample stock, negotiating, agreeing timescales and delivery dates.

- Initiating activities like negotiations for pricing, propositions and margins for the products for Web, TV and other special promotions in order to get the best deal for the company.

- Inviting proposals from different vendors for comparative analysis of the offers and subsequent presentation of the same to the top management to close the deal.

- Contributes in development of range architecture based on consumer segment insights, regional requirements, marketplace knowledge, and competitive data (both online and offline retail).

- Provides timely information on consumer insights and sale rates to sourcing teams, to enable them to source better.

- Contributes in creation of sales plans and completely owns up the execution of the same to maximize sell-thrus of the inventory made available to sell.

- Monitoring product life cycle of every product in the category and take early calls for opportunity maximization

- Executes inter-category / intra-category events and sales promotions.

- Ensures that the product placed on site is relevant to category, features and USP well explained to the viewer in simple customer centric language, product is well packaged to attract and excite customers.

- Conversion and basket size maximization and target achievement.

- Responsible for the top line and bottom line for their respective category.
