We are looking for a seasoned Category Manager for our furniture rental business, who will establish this function in the company. A cross functional role with P&amp;L responsibility, this requires collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Finance and Product and external stakeholders such as Vendors and Business Partners. This person will be driving end to end business results, growth, profitability, strategy and team development. Responsibilities: Business Strategy : - Develop deep understanding of the furniture rental business from both the demand and supply perspectives - Ensure customer preferences are fulfilled through the variety and availability of selection Supplier Management: - Shortlist and finalize new vendors across various cities through extensive research - Maintain a performance system for the Vendors with clear metrics to track and improve - Establish good communication channels with the Vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery timelines Inventory Management: - Monitor and measure the performance of the existing catalogue of furniture across various cities and verticals, ensuring the right stock levels - Seek out for new designs and trends in the market through research Planning and Forecasting: - Keep tabs on the inventory at all times and lead the development and implementation of forecasting models for predicting inventory. - Generate periodic reports and perform the follow up decision making Requirements: - MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools with 3-5 years of relevant Category management experience - Proven track record of launching or scaling up categories - Exceptional analytical &amp; problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and Inclination to make decisions driven by data - Self-starter and high focus on prioritizing in ambiguity - Bias towards execution and orientation towards high performance output - Excellent verbal &amp; communication abilities - Strong People management capabilities
