CarTrade is India's leading auto classified site and with the acquisition of Carwale, the combined traffic is over 32 million visits a month.

CarTrade.com allows consumers to sell or buy a used car or research a new car purchase. Sellers of used vehicles can list their vehicle to thousands dealers. Buyers of used vehicles can view vehicles that are certified and have a warranty and get connected to dealers who have the vehicle they are looking for. New car buyers have access to the most comprehensive new car pricing information and detailed news, reviews and discussion forums. The company's Investors include Temasek, March Capital, Warburg Pincus, JP Morgan, Epiphany Ventures and Chip Perry (founding CEO of Autotrader.com).

Used car pricing is a strategic pillar of our company and is an essential part of various processes, including consumer, auctions and auto finance. We are looking for an experienced and talented data analyst who will be working in the pricing team of our used cars business. The candidate has to analyze various internal and external data sources and create a model to determine used car pricing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Creating used car pricing models using existing sources of data

- Validate the price models with real life transaction data

- Continuously explore and include new sources of data into the price model

- Monitor and promote usage of pricing tools across various mediums

- Work with technology team to improve calculation algorithm,s

Key Success Factors :

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

- 1-3 years of experience with predictive statistical, behavioural or other models, statistical analysis, and other predictive modelling techniques such as classification, regression, clustering and text analysis

- Strong knowledge on Microsoft Excel, VBA, Macros; analytics tools like R, SPSS, SAS are very useful

- Data Analysis, MIS reporting
