Role : Senior Manager/ Director - Data Specialist - Global Finance Platform

Position Purpose & Summary:

The Senior Data Specialist, Global Finance Platform (GFP) is expected to possess subject matter expertise regarding the usage of and cross functional integration related to the Finance domain of data and finance operational processes. The Specialist should be able to drive critical priorities and execute data topics associated with the data strategy for all areas of the Global Finance Platform program. This role will help in the alignment of the data activities for GFP with the global Finance data strategy, engagement with project stakeholders for seamless project execution, providing key inputs related to data subjects to ensure high quality and harmonized data as an outcome of the program.

Principal Accountabilities :

1. Accountable for seamless execution of data activities in alignment with the data objectives for the GFP program (90%):

a. Complete GFP project data related templates as required. Recommend modifications to templates to include data related checkpoints and balances

b. Complete data mappings and transformation business rules by working with business data stakeholders

c. Provide inputs for the SI partner to build required data conversion load programs to ensure legacy data is Extracted, Transformed & Loaded to meet the GFP structure

d. Coordinate with the extended master data team as to how Finance required data relative to Material, Customer, Vendor (Business Partner) will integrate with GFP

e. Work with the GFP program Technical Team ensure data load files are available for testing phases

f. Perform unit, integration and regression testing (as necessary) with sample transformed data

g. Manage MOCK preparation activities in collaboration with Finance/GFP team members and the SI team. Organize MOCK kickoff meetings with project, finance and SI teams. Participate in MOCK Entry/Exit Criteria Meetings. Drive MOCK execution, document results, and provide status updates.

h. Manage data defects

i. Work with the SI and Cargill SAP migration teams to ensure proper validation rules are applied to the transformed data

j. Sign off on final data load results

k. Develop and implement a data process sustain model including data quality monitoring, data governance processes, and data integration with overall Cargill Enterprise Master Data Repository (EMDR) effort

l. Implement data governance processes for both the GFP program and on the ongoing Finance data processes in conjunction with the Finance Global Data Governance Specialist which aligns to the global Finance data strategy

2. Miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned (10%)

Education, Experience, Skills :

Minimum Required Qualifications :

- University degree in Finance, Data Management or Computer Science field

- 8+ years of business experience with a combination of Finance, IT, Data Management experiences

- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and demonstrated experiences communicating across diverse cultures, teams and regions

- Willingness and comfortable to work in a cross geography, multi-time zone, distributed work execution environment

- Strong understanding of Finance processes, terminology with some past experience working in a Finance role

- Capable of learning, build and explain a robust data management operating model and focused culture

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in Data Management and Analytics in multinational corporations

- Experience in SAP

- Participation in large scale process and technology solution implementations

- Design experience for data management processes and/or analytics solutions in a Finance context

- Data migration experience
