Position Purpose & Summary :

Principal Accountabilities :

1. Responsible to generate Statistical forecast at SKU and plant level 30%

- Gather, analyze and validate historical sales/order data

- Validate the statistical forecast and include Planner Adjusted forecast to generate Baseline Forecast

- Identify the gap and fix the statistical forecast for better data quality

- Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts at brand level

2. Review sales plans, budget updates and latest estimates 25%

- Gather sales plan from Sales/commercial teams for all SKUs and RSM level

- Capture information on promotional/strategic product plans with Product Management Team

- Arrive at Commercial Adjusted Forecast based on historical sales (statistical forecast) and future sales plan (market intelligence from commercial team), etc.

- Validate forecast with Budget/Finance figures and latest estimate shared by commercial team

- Upload and maintain the agreed forecast in the system

3. Sales & Operations Planning / CIBP Process 30%

- Discuss to align on most likely sales figures for planning horizon at RSM level during monthly - Channal Discussion Meeting-

- Discuss to align on overall Regional Hub level forecast figures with Business Heads during monthly S&P Meeting- for the planning horizon which includes market & competitive intelligence

- Review and monitor Phase-in & Phase-out products on a monthly basis with relevant stakeholders

- Facilate and drive monthly - Demand Review- Meeting with Commercial team to align on the final forecast figures for the planning horizon.

4. Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to Demand planning process 10%

- Weekly forecast versus order information to be provided to respective Business Heads (share forecast bias trend)

- Forecast accuracy of each Regional Sales Manager/agreed level to be arrived

- Communicate to Business Heads on the monthly forecast accuracy where RCA has to be shared

5. SKU Rationalization 5%

- ABC/XYZ Classification of SKUs at all India and RSM level

- SKU rationalization process to be aligned with Product Management Team


Education, Experience, Skills :

Required Qualifications :

- Graduate/PG

- Diploma Supply Chain Management is preferable

- Atleast 4-8 years of relevant supply chain planning, demand planning experience in food/pharmaceautical industries

Techincal skills:

- SAP/APO knowledge

- Master Data management in SAP for DP

- strong working experience in MS Excel

- MS Powerpoint preparation

Skills Required:

- Strong analytical

- Problem solving skills

- Good communication

- Influencing skills

Other relevant information to the position

KPIs Measures for the role:

- Forecast Accuracy

- Forecast Bias

- Monthly Meeting adherence (DRM and S&P meetings)

- Monitor Monthly additional Demand

Mandatory Skills:

- Relevant Experience in Demand Planning has to 5 years

- Must have experience in S&OP Process i.e. Sales and operation planning process.

- Excellent communication skills

- Must be very strong in Excel, should have a bend of analytics

- Good in Coordination
