Position Purpose

As a member of the Regional Global HR Solutions (GHRS) Talent Performance Domain team, the L&D Consultant is responsible for analyzing, assessing and understanding the business needs in order to recommend solutions to the client and then implementing the same. The L&D consultant will be a subject matter expert and coach for (senior) managers. This position will need to understand the internal/external influences on the client's needs and be able to assist the client in the solution process. This position will be expected to develop/manage /facilitate Leadership & Team effectiveness interventions for mid & senior level managers.

The L&D Consultant will lead and/or facilitate assessments of the required needs and be able to identify learning programs/requirement. The person will also need to do end-to-end program-management & effectiveness evaluation for the COE designed learning interventions. The L&D Consultant will also be a front-runner in digitized learning & leverage technology to bring relevant learning solutions closer to the clients.

It is expected that the incumbent will have a very high experience/skill set/knowledge level in one (or more) major area of this positions- activity/skill set and a wider lesser level of experience in several other areas.

Principal Accountabilities

(1)Business Leader--60%:

Support the delivery of HR programs/solutions that help Cargill create a talent-based competitive advantage.

- Represent the needs of the talent performance domain in the consultation around delivery of L&D performance program/solution offerings and ensure the L&D programs achieve the expected level of return on investment through effective learning delivery, high client satisfaction, and business relevancy

- Ensure that the organization is providing relevant, effective facilitation services to business managers within the talent performance domain and within the region

- Leverage and enforce tools, methodologies and processes to support the effective and efficient delivery of talent performance programs/solutions

- Ensure the desired business results are prioritized and the development of organization capability needs are addressed and operationalized

- Provide thought leadership in recommending and delivering talent performance programs/solutions that build on business and functional strategic drivers

- Responsible for achieving performance metrics in alignment with Global HR Solutions and Talent and Performance COE strategic performance objectives

(2)Talent Leader --15%:

Provide relevant, effective facilitation services to Cargill's businesses and functions.

- Develop and sustain valuable HR program/solution facilitation and coaching skills, and overall effectiveness of teams

- Collaborate with COE learning resources to ensure knowledge of Cargill frameworks and tools in delivery of learning is kept up to date

- Define and monitor performance and service quality metrics in alignment with Global HR Solutions and Talent & Performance COE strategic objectives

- Provide thought leadership and act as a facilitator to accelerate the development of key talent, increase employee engagement and drive high performance

(3)Change Leader --10%:

Champion the implementation of Talent and Performance COE programs/solutions to achieve desired business results and provide an excellent client experience.

- Represent domain in prioritization activities and escalations in the broader market services area

- Provide geography feedback into services priorities to ensure regional and global adoption

- Promote the use and implementation of tools/technologies within the domain to gain efficiency in delivering HR solutions

(4)Culture Steward --10%:

- Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified and standardized processes

- Establish a culture of accountability and measurement

- Express, model and reinforce a process-honoring culture

- Ensure delivery is compliant regionally with laws, regulations, and corporate policies

- Ensure application of standard policies, coordinated globally

- Monitor key performance metrics that drive high performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Essential Position Requirements

- Ability to travel as required, up to 40%, mostly within region as well as some internationally

Education, Experience, Skills--required

Education

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

- Certified MBTI facilitator

Experience

- 7+ years of relevant business and/or human resources experience

- Experienced in practitioner and delivery roles in L&D methodologies, tools, and processes

- Experienced in managing content management & delivery of regional based L&D programs and functional and/or business programs.

- Experienced in leveraging on shared services (including collaborating with an instruction designer) to deliver learning administration (e.g. proper registration and tracking) and utilizing internal and external facilitators to deliver training

- Experienced in learning, designing and implementing new and/or improved processes (both people and businesses.)

- Experienced in anticipating issues, problem-solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity

- Experienced in establishing and building strong relationships and exerting influence over key and senior stakeholders

- Track record in being successful in delivering results while working independently in a lean environment and handling multiple priorities simultaneously

Skills

- Good consulting skills which include discovering, diagnosing, solutions, delivering and reviewing of L&D opportunities and solutions

- Fluency in spoken & written English

- Exceptional facilitation skills both in classroom as in virtual environments

- Deep expertise in adult learning and global program multimodal design e.g. in-person/virtual/social media as well as skill-based learning

- Expertise in team effectiveness facilitation and/or talent assessment facilitation

- Ability to customize and deploy L&D programs and some Instructional design experience with good working knowledge of instructional design theories and practices

- Strong intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of business trends, develop talent performance subject matter expertise and appreciate interdisciplinary connections

- Strong system thinking capabilities with an integrated solution mindset

- Strong business acumen to identify talent performance opportunities/risks and lead/implement interventions to increase efficiency and effectiveness and reduce cost aligned to the business strategy

- Strong relationship building and networking skills to establish and manage influential client relationships

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills - ability to thrive as part of a regional and global team

Education, Experience, Skills --preferred

Education

- Professional certifications in different talent performance areas (e.g. assessment, coaching etc.)

Experience

- Worked across different businesses, sectors, markets, and disciplines

- Exposure to other talent performance domain methodologies, tools, and processes

- Exposure to spectrum of HR areas beyond Talent Performance areas

- Project management experience

- Experience leading regional and/or global teams in areas like learning and development and/or talent management operational teams

- Experience leading resources in a professional service provider organization

- Proven to consult and contracting skills that drive high performance

Skills

- High on agility to work across breadth of businesses, sectors, markets, and disciplines

- High proficiency in the English language while proficiency in other Asian languages is an added advantage

Career Development

This role is a feeder role to the APAC L&D Manager role through capability development and exposure/experience acquisition This role also allows lateral progression to other peer roles in Talent, consulting roles in Talent and Org Dev as well Instructional Design.
