Head of Strategy - Used Cars, CarDekho.com Job Overview A key management role working directly with CEO-Used Cars, the role entails driving key strategic initiatives and providing leverage to the CEO to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders (Clients, Customers, Consumers &amp; Investors). We are working towards making used car buying and selling easier in India and role will provide exposure to multiple sectors (Internet Media, Fin-Tech, Insurance-Tech and B2B commerce). Expect to work at intersection of online to offline play and both retail consumer and wholesale auction side of businesses (B2C and B2B transactions) and across diverse initiatives (product, marketing, sales improvement) supporting the scale-up and growth of business. Key Areas of Responsibilities - Work closely with CEO to prepare for and drive internal and external meetings including preparing agenda, any research required, pre-meeting material preparation, post meeting follow-ups to ensure better decision making and its implementation - Work closely with functional and multiple business heads to ensure tracking of plans, highlighting any bottlenecks and program managing key initiatives with CEO's support - Help prepare for board and investor meetings and strategic partnerships including research, special analysis and reports and presentation material - Independently lead and drive 1-2 key cross-functional or strategic initiatives from CEO's desk every year and program manage 2-3 critical growth initiatives every quarter. - Create and drive intra and inter-department process implementation to improve effectiveness and productivity of 500+ people organization - Interpret regular business reports to create actionable insights and any interventions required - Participate in senior leadership and management team meetings including planning, review and financial reporting Role Evolution - Pre-MBA candidates: Great role for pre-MBA candidates in consulting / investment banking firms interested in getting exposure to multiple functions and startup operating environments - MBA candidates: For candidates with MBA, role with evolve moving to a line functional role within one of the teams or leading independent charge of key initiative or independent P&amp;L. Qualification and Skills - Education background: Top Tier Engineering/Non-Engineering college/MBA college - MBA is optional - 3-7 years of work experience in business consulting, project management, product or sales preferred - Strong business acumen, analytical skills and ability to work in cross functional teams - Business modeling, valuations and presentation skills preferred or a fast learner with ability to pick these on the job - Strong communication skills - written and verbal - Ability to deal with varying degrees of ambiguity - A great sense of humour will help your candidature immensely
