Recently raised funding from leading investors Matrix Partners, Ankur Capital, Incubate Fund & ADB Ventures Job Summary: This role will involve working closely on all legal contracts, legal compliance matters of Company, its group companies and subsidiaries. The scope of legal support includes commercial contracts, litigation, intellectual property, compliance, licenses approval etc. The role involves working closely with other members of the legal team. Job Responsibilities: 1. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, create standard templates of agreements, archiving and renewal of contracts to ensure timely renewal of contracts. 2. Protect the intellectual property of the Company in India and abroad. Coordinate with legal head and external trademark attorneys for making trade mark search, trademark applications, strategize opposition of trademarks and file infringements to trademarks. 3. Legal research and aspects on areas such as compliance tool implementation, data privacy etc. 4. Create first drafts of recovery notices, reply to show cause notices and other documentation on a day to day basis. 5. Such other tasks, assignments as may be assigned by the Legal Head. 6. Position may involve sporadic travel to locations within India for work assignments where the company operates. Qualifications and Experience: (a) Law Degree from premier recognized university in India or a common law jurisdiction. (b) Self starter, willing to work in a fast paced environment, with 3-4 years post qualification experience. Preferable for candidates who are in law firms working as corporate lawyers or candidates from food/ pharma sectors. (c) Go getter attitude, excellent command of both spoken and written English and Hindi. Knowledge of Kannada or any additional language will be an advantage. (d) Team player. Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage major projects to successful completion. (e) Highest standards of professional integrity. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
