Solutions Leader - Infrastructure Services

As a Solution Leader your primary role will be designing and owning the solution for large and/or complex infrastructure and applications deals for targeted/assigned customers. Based on Capgemini Standard Offerings and your in-depth industry and market expertise as well as your technical acumen in developing and executing sale of high-level technical operating strategies, solutions and benefits to meet client's needs and requirements. A solution director will be aligned to our largest and most complex pursuits. The clients will often be global and your deals will often be comprised of Infrastructure, Applications and Consulting / Transformational change activity.

The SD needs to be a generalist with a technical heritage, but must have some experience of leading on Infrastructure Outsourcing deals where the target operating model is a next generation of Hybrid Cloud environments with the latest digital architectures. The SD must be able to articulate the transition and transformation journey to move from legacy to next generation. You should be able to manage solutions in the applications domain as well as Infrastructure, as our largest most complex deals often require the integration of an applications and Infrastructure solution components.

This role requires a strong understating of the legal and commercial models that underpin and also help differentiate the creation of a compelling and differentiated value proposition.

Key responsibilities

- As requested support sales in pre-sales deal development engagements; work with clients and their advisors as a trusted advisor during deal shaping and beyond.

- Lead the solution pursuit team during the solution development process to ensure alignment with sales, client business and technology strategy. Develops technology and operating strategies as well as solutions, and benefits. Analyses stakeholders, identifies and recognizes prospect traits and determines how to effectively influence their decision.

- Understands customer business by actively researching customer to determine business issues. Establishes technical credibility with existing and prospective clients providing the ability to cultivate relationships and envision creative sales and solution strategies that generate additional revenue. Cultivates key trusted-advisor relationships with senior level IT executives demonstrating an understanding of key business challenges within customer markets and how Company technology-enabled business solutions can address those needs.

- Identify and develop key differentiators during deal shaping and the bid pursuit.

- Acts as technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Solutions personnel.

- Understand what represents best of breed from a technology perspective in your customer's vertical market / sector. Understand who the leaders are in this vertical / peer group and why.

- Understands what the programme will deliver from a business and benefits perspective and to advise on areas where this in not congruent with the evolving solution.

- You will be Expert in managing a blend of offshore, nearshore and local / domestic resources in your solution / pursuit team.

- To be responsible for the governance and design of the complete solution covering all technology aspects including infrastructure, applications and costs

- Manage the client's expectations and understand where Capgemini can deliver their requirements using standard offerings where possible. Where our standard offering is not appropriate design bespoke solution elements to meet the clients requirements.

Experience Required

- Typically no less than 15 years of technology leadership, governance and solutions pre-sales / delivery experience, on global complex engagements.

- Typically no less than 7 years - experience within a pre-sales team, environment and management of large scale opportunities in excess of - 50m.

- Experienced in business solutions, technical consulting, or sales solutions experience

- Experience working with the technology industry, specifically handling significantly sized accounts

- Experience of consulting related to technology business transformation

- Experience of delivering transformative technology that spans applications and infrastructure domains

- Experience working with solution/product portfolios & developing winning sales solutions and proposals

- Possesses a broad knowledge of solution and commercial competencies such as security, business analysis, applications and infrastructure architecture, service management (ITIL) and has worked in complex environments on many large engagements

- Experience of designing and leading the implementation of a Transformation Programme as part of multi-stream change programmes.
