Position: Competency Lead - Mainframe
Location: Mumbai / Bangalore
Experience : 13 + years
Job Description:
- Develop and execute competency building plan based upon business plans existing upcoming projects and resource pool gaps and employee aspirations
- Work with CSD projects Market leaders and chart out current technology skill landscape and plan for future.
- Plan and execute resource skill building and hiring plans in line with the competency plans along with career progression
- Plan and execute trainings and certifications
- Provide expert support to various projects and support engagements
- Develop solutions provide support to new opportunities
- Support and guide solutions and offering in the Capability COE
- Guide and support competency leads
- Drive performance evaluation feedback and correction process in collaboration with delivery managers
- Design and drive employee engagement programs to increase satisfaction and reduce the attrition
- Liaison with CSD Delivery organization to understand the upcoming technology needs from client and big deals as well as to enable resource pool trainings and certifications
- Liaison with recruitment and RMG functions on resource skill planning management
- Managing Troubled situations Experience of turning them around
- Work across COE BUs to leverage best practices
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years Mainframe experience in consulting Solutions project management and practice or people management. Ideally a mix of AD and ADM environment
- Minimum 5 years of Technical experience
- Must have strong Technology and People management experience
- Experience strong exposure on Mainframe latest technologies necessary
- Should be well versed with what investment should be made what technology to focus and build capability
- Should be able to work and leverage alliances
- Very good capabilities and experience in people management and stake holder management
- Experience in managing sizable teams in large organizations. Minimum size of 100
- Excellent communication skills both verbal oral and presentation capabilities
- Ready to travel up to 30 percent of the time
- Experienced in client senior management interactions
- Similar role exposure experience would be an advantage
- Technical skills
- Conversant in Mainframe technologies along with strong database knowledge on various RDBMS ORACLE Sybase PL SQL UNIX Shell scripting knowledge.
