CAPA India - Economist - Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand research requirements and break it down to data and/or information categories and find relevant sources

- Track various sources of economic and industry information

- Possess knowledge of various research and analytical tools/databases/techniques

- Find reliable, accurate and good quality of information in a timely manner

- Deep understanding of economic concepts

- Ability to look at the macroeconomic picture, analyse and break it down to business level

- Experience in using and apply econometric concepts

- Draw conclusions from data and present findings in a client ready format

- Present relevant research material in a structured impactful manner

- Focus on delivering accurate data in text, charts/tables and reports

- Advanced skills in MS office applications

- Present quantitative and qualitative information in presentations

- Creative and crisp writing in Word reports and find new ways to present research findings

- Identify right people/sources to conduct primary research

- Understand the primary inputs and analyse them appropriately

- Conduct comprehensive secondary research

- Be able to link requirements, findings to the project end objectives

- Good time management skills

- Write clear and well-structured text in various contexts

- Communicate ideas clearly in a structured manner

- Write detailed reports, and presentation slides for delivery to internal and external audience.

Qualification:

- Min. Post-graduation (MBA, PGDBM/ Masters) preferably in Economics or related field

- Graduation preferably in English / Economics or any other discipline

Required Experience & Skills:

- 5-8 years of relevant industry experience

- Good communication, writing and presentation skills.

- Advanced level proficiency in MS-Excel, Word, & PPT (MS Office suite); VBA programming skills is a plus

- Proven problem solving and analytical skills

- Motivated self-starter and service-orientated work ethic

- Experience of working on economic and industry across sectors and regions
