Business/Function &amp; Location(Country/Department) - Enterprise Information Management &amp; Analytics (EIMA) Bangalore :&nbsp; Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) - The incumbent will be responsible for discovering the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help make smarter decisions to drive efficiency &amp; productivity. Primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with business processes.&nbsp; - The role requires the incumbent to spearhead the end-to-end partnership process with business from understanding the requirement, statistical modelling, active involvement in actual implementation &amp; driving the KPI's. Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas Impact on the Business / Function:&nbsp; - Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques - Data mining using state-of-the-art methods - Apply knowledge and expertise in quantitative analysis, predictive modelling and data mining to see beyond numbers and understand customer behaviors and patterns of engagement - Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems - Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis - Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner - Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance - Identifying trends and recommending solutions basis analytics observations - Data Base management and enrichment for ensuring better insights by using external data - Analyzing customer behavior towards premium payment basis customer demographics, Sourcing details, payment mode, product details etc - Customer Segmentation for designing segment specific acquisition &amp; retention strategies - Undertaking initiatives for improving customer contact rates Customers / Stakeholders:&nbsp; The role involves extensive cross function engagement and explaining complex solution in easy to understand form. - Business drivers fully aligned to business goal of customer retention - Integration of various tools for ensuring outcome of analytics can be implemented and action is triggered at end user level - Actively pursues issue resolution, and communicates project status/issues to business stakeholders and operational management - Acts as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, information technology and outside vendors Leadership &amp; Teamwork:&nbsp; - Present analytical solutions to Leadership team and mutually agree on initiatives for achieving defined objectives. - Exceptional communication, presentations &amp; mentoring skills with distinguished abilities in leading teams - Influencing and aligning cross functions towards defined objectives Understand the business requirements and will be able to translate those into deliverables Be a key contributor to data driven requests that require deep dive understanding of business logics and data .To share key actionable insights to help Senior Management in taking business decisions and strategy d) Able to create, test and implement the propensity models, Data analysis, segmentation &amp; modeling with key insights sharing Operational Effectiveness &amp; Control :&nbsp; - A result oriented professional, with a flair for identifying &amp; adopting emerging trends &amp; addressing industry requirements to achieve organizational objectives and profitability norms. - Should have ability to work effectively in cross-functional forums and provide focused feedback on customer perspective Typical Targets and Measures : - Developing analytical models for customer retention - Predictive modeling for aligning efforts on customers with higher possibility for purchase and lower possibility to attrite Coordinating with Channel partners (Banks) for understanding Product holding and Transaction trends of customers for developing analytical model Review and apply acceptance parameters on analytical model outcome and ensuring prediction accuracy of deployed models is maintained - Basis Analysis providing inputs for designing KPI &amp; R&amp;R schemes for CHOICe Sales and persistency teams - Developing Presentations for management teams highlighting analytics output and recommendations - Providing Analysis/data to cross functions for assisting them in planning budgets developing /modifying process Major Challenges :&nbsp; - Eye for detail and insight for information - Conversion of data into meaningful information - Communicating/presenting complex analytical solutions in Business framework for designing strategic initiativesLeading/Influencing without direct control - Aligning cross functions to assigned objective with compelling analytical inferences. - Management &amp; Leadership of Regulatory, Compliance &amp; Operational Risk (Operational Risk / Control requirements) - Report any operational risk or operational risk loss to the line manager and the Risk &amp; Control team immediately if the jobholder becomes aware of emerging or inadequately controlled operational risk or identify an operational risk loss in accordance with Company's Risk policy. Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / Control requirements) - Maintain and observe Company's internal control standards, implement and observe the Company's Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Foster a compliance culture and implement the Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk and optimising relations with regulators Knowledge &amp; Experience / Qualifications : Graduate or Post Graduate in Quantitative discipline (Graduation in Statistics or Mathematics) with 5-7 years of experience - Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc. - Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R,SAS, SPSS, python, etc- {{depending on specific project requirements}}. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable - Great communication skills - Experience with data visualization tools, such as Qlick, Cognos - Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL - Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. - Good scripting and programming skills - Data-oriented personality Experience in Customer Retention in Insurance/Bank/NBFC will be an added advantage.
