Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role):

The purpose of this role is to setup Analytics COE in EIMA function. Job holder will be responsible for growing the unit and realizing its vision to become central nervous system of company for data driven decision making.

Analytics COE will be responsible for providing analytics services to all the functions in company covering entire customer life cycle starting from prospecting through various acquisition channels (digital, direct, bancassurance) to onboarding and retaining.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Define best practices and solutions related to data science

2. Embed predictive intelligence in functional processes

3. Raise the bar in strategic decision making through data driven decisions

4. Creating dashboards that are intuitive and explain root cause of outcome and recommend changes along with quantification of change impact

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas:

Impact on the Business / Function [COMPLETE 3-4 AREAS]:

- Apply knowledge and expertise in quantitative analysis, predictive modelling and data mining to see beyond numbers and understand customer behaviors and patterns of engagement

- Deploy analytics tools and ensure capabilities of machine learning are leveraged in order to make models more predictive and scalable.

- Explain complex statistical models to business in a simple language and demonstrate benefits of implementing

- Build lean decision based tool as an enabler to shorten decision making process

- Combine deep data and analytics skills with proven business acumen to solve business problems by understanding, preparing and analyzing data to predict emerging trends and provide recommendations to optimize business results.

Customers / Stakeholders [COMPLETE 3-4 AREAS]:

The role involves extensive cross functional engagement and understanding of business problems and providing data driven solutions

- Sales & Marketing - propensity modelling for customer acquisition for various sales channels.

- Operational efficiency

- Business forecasting

- Employee attrition analysis and performance management

- Customer retention

- Distribution analytics

Leadership & Teamwork [COMPLETE 3-4 AREAS]:

- Present analytical solutions to Leadership team and mutually agree on initiatives for customer retention

- Exceptional communication, presentations & mentoring skills with distinguished abilities in leading teams

- Influencing and aligning cross functions towards defined objectives

Operational Effectiveness & Control [COMPLETE 3-4 AREAS]:

- A result oriented professional, with a flair for identifying & adopting emerging trends & addressing industry requirements to achieve organizational objectives and profitability norms.

- Should have ability to work effectively in cross-functional forums and provide focused feedback on customer perspective

- Oversees and able to manage various projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing, and equipment including software and hardware

- Communicating/presenting complex analytical solutions in Business framework for designing strategic initiatives

Management & Leadership of Regulatory, Compliance & Operational Risk (Operational Risk / Control requirements):

Report any operational risk or operational risk loss to the line manager and the Risk & Control team immediately if the jobholder becomes aware of emerging or inadequately controlled operational risk or identify an operational risk loss in accordance with Company's Risk policy.

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / Control requirements):

Maintain and observe Company's internal control standards, implement and observe the Company's Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Foster a compliance culture and implement the Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk and optimising relations with regulators

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (For the role - not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.):

1. Post Graduate (Masters).

2. Proficiency in statistical and other tool/languages R, SAS, SPSS, Python

3. Experience in various statistical and machine learning models, data mining, unstructured data analytics

4. Post graduate in statistics from premier institure ISI, IIT

5. Overall 10+ years of experience with atleast 5 years in data science in Banking, NBCF, Insurance industry
