Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for employee relations, performance management, facilitation, special projects, and best practice improvements.

Job Description

- Facilitate the resolution of employee relation issues, and workplace harassment by investigating, resolving and tracking complaints, evaluating and recommending possible courses of action, and providing advice, guidance and direction for quick resolution.

- Conduct manager and associate training on Performance Evaluation process and provide guidance and support on the Performance Evaluation process. Assist with reporting and analysis on completions as required.

- Work with Managers to ensure job descriptions are up to date. Assist with documentation updates if required.

- Answer questions from associates on company policies and procedures. Provide advice on policy changes and matters not currently covered by policies.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

- 5+ years previous experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations and performance management

- 2+ years overseeing Human Resources Department in standalone role

- College/University degree or equivalent in Human Resources

- Knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, Workers Compensation and Health and Safety legislation

- Proficient MS Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)

- Self-starter; ability to work independently
