Byju's - Manager - Research & Insights/Qualitative Research (1-5 yrs)
The Role:
We are looking for Marketing and business enthusiasts for our newly formed consumer-insights team. This team will study and analyse customer behaviour (both qualitatively & quantitatively) to give actionable insights that move business metrics. The team is involved in all business decision-making and strategy-formation. This is a high-impact role across the business-verticals, and will work with the Business leaders, Marketing, Post-sales, Product, Operations and customer-success teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adept- Understand business and marketing of each vertical; pro-actively map consumer-behaviour, classify, structure customer-journeys and product-experiences.
- Understand the business requirements and convert them into research objectives along with execution plans.
- Own and execute research projects from end to end (Primary - Qualitative and Quantitative, Secondary research).
- Conduct FGDs, direct interviews with internal and external respondents as needed or managing them through vendors with active participation and involvement.
- Research material creation (Questionnaire/discussion guide design), Analysis plan and report writing
- Leverage internal learnings, benchmarks and category/business knowledge to provide a bigger picture context to analysis. Business or marketing Data-analysis experience is good to have and will be required for large data-set handling in this role.
- Strict adherence to project timelines while maintaining highest quality standards
- Build actionable insights with data - understanding the underlying insights and presenting it to key stakeholders
- Identification, shortlisting and end to end vendor management for research projects.
- Travel: Occasional and on-demand for customer interactions and product immersions
Qualifications:
- Academic Qualification: MBA/PGDM or Equivalent (With Marketing/Analytics/Stats Specialization)
- 1+ years of experience in Consumer-insights/ marketing teams of Online businesses or in market research companies (Nielsen, Kantar or similar)
- Interest & ability to understand the Education and Ed-tech market, Customers and stakeholders
- Experience working on both Quantitative and Qualitative methodologies
- Experienced in doing interviews, moderating discussions/FGDs (as needed), building qualitative insights
- Ability to work in a start-up environment; very fast-paced, unbound-constrained thinking is required
- Excellent organizing skills, structured thought process; stakeholder management (internal and external); presentation skills
