AVP/GM/Director/Sr Manager/Manager Business Finance & Strategy


This is an important leadership role within Business Finance & Strategy team, who will own financial planning & analysis and business partnership for at least one vertical (business units such as Byju's Learning Center, Byju's Classes etc.) or horizontal (functional units such as Post Sales, Content etc.) at Byju's.


You will be part of an exciting growth phase for Byju's, establishing and scaling this function. Depending on the unit you will support, role may include projects such as: Establish framework and cadence to review Learning Center level profitability, Establish reporting and KPIs to help leaders understand content costs for their respective businesses to drive growth in a cost-efficient manner, Set annual operating plan and cadence to help business head understand key performance drivers and gaps.

Responsibilities :

- Partner with one or more business/function unit head and their team to ensure robust financial planning is in place and track performance against the plan

- Develop a deep understanding of the business / functional unit you will support in order to convert business strategies, plans, initiatives etc. into financial plans

- Build and groom a team of finance professionals

- Structure complex business problems with business partners and guide junior team members to develop easy to consume models and frameworks for business decision making

- Set up recurring reporting framework to facilitate periodic financial reviews

- Review and continuously improve quality of various reports and other work of junior team members

- Identify and track financial KPIs and build driver-based planning models relevant for your business unit

- Participate and contribute in business planning and review sessions

- Provide various ad-hoc/value-added / meaningful analyses and insights for decision making

- Manage downstream processes such as establishing cost centers, and provide leadership in setting up systems etc. as needed overtime to scale the function

- Act as a forward-thinking leader to evolve Business Finance & Strategy organization by driving knowledge sharing activities, challenging status quo, bringing in automation and new systems as appropriate etc.

Requirements :

- MBA with 8+ years of professional experience in finance, preferably in a business partnership focused roles

- Experience in leading and grooming a team of analysts/managers

- Familiarity/experience in driver-based forecasting models and understanding of financial concepts

- Strong analytical skills and ability to decipher trends and insights from large data sets

- Ability to present / articulate complex topics in elegant and simple ways

- Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders effectively

- Experience/ability to manage large scopes of work
