Byju's - Assistant Manager/Manager - Business Finance

This is an important role within Business Finance & Strategy team, who will own financial planning & analysis and business partnership for at least one vertical (business units such as Byju's Learning Center, Byju's Classes etc.) or horizontal (functional units such as Post Sales, Content etc.) at Byju's.

You will be part of an exciting growth phase for Byju's, establishing and scaling this function. Depending on the unit you will support, role may include projects such as: Establish framework and cadence to review Learning Center level profitability, Establish reporting and KPIs to help leaders understand content costs for their respective businesses to drive growth in a cost efficient manner, Set annual operating plan and cadence to help business head understand key performance drivers and gaps

Experience Required - 0-4 Years

Qualification- MBA/CA (MBA must be from Tier I/Tier II College/Institutes)

Responsibilities:

- As part of the larger team, partner with a business / functional unit to ensure robust financial planning is in place and track performance against the plan

- Assemble and summarize data to structure reports and financial models for decision making; Provide meaningful analyses and insights, and participate in various business discussions

- Define and track financial KPIs and build driver based financial models. Convert business plans or initiatives into financial figures and plans

- Define and prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports for specific line items or overall P&L and communicates in a logical and easy to follow manner

- Assist senior members of the team in specific deep dives or new initiatives as per business needs

- Understand history of data procurement, location, methods, issues and actions taken

- Improve current methods used in data gathering, automate reports and models to improve overall efficiency of the team

- Ensure control and compliance, and overall financial discipline for your business / functional unit

- Work with counterparts in other groups such as procurement, systems, accounting etc. to establish appropriate processes or partner as required with them for needs of business teams

Requirements:

- MBA / CA professional with experience in finance, preferably in business partnership focused roles

- Familiarity / experience in driver based forecasting models and basic understanding of financial concepts

- Strong analytical skills and ability to present insights from data sets

- Ability to present / articulate complex topics in elegant and simple ways

- Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders effectively

- Good knowledge of Excel; knowledge of other tools such as VBA, Macros, Tableau, SQL would be helpful but not a requirement

- Willingness to dig deep and comfort with abstract projects

- Good written and verbal communication skill
