A Global Financial Firm's Asset Management arm is looking for experienced research analyst with current / prior experience in either Sell Side / Buy Side Equity Research to be part of their Emerging Market Equity team. Equities Investment Team has a long history of providing investors with a broad suite of equity strategies that span investment styles, strategies, regions and market caps. The team had an overall active emerging market public equity assets under supervision totaling ~US$ 13 bn. The team leverages the breadth and depth of intellectual capital across the divisions global platform while benefitting from the local insights, deep expertise and focused research of our investment teams. A successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to a team-oriented culture and a strong enthusiasm for investment research. Financial modeling, communication and research skills, as well as an outstanding critical thinking mindset are key to the role. Responsibilities A. Research Analyst(s) would be part of Emerging Market (EM) Fundamental Equities Investment Team in India, and will assist senior analysts focusing on the EM equity markets B. The team employs a forward looking research-driven approach, focusing on active and fundamental security selection within the EM equities, that is grounded in disciplined risk management. C. The role involves analyzing financial statements, the industry, and competitive landscape, and evaluate company management; estimating market share, macro trends and other affecting factors; build and maintain financial models with focus on key business drivers and valuation D. Research and develop views on macro and micro-level investment issues, individual stocks / sectors within the EM markets Experience/Skills - 1-3 years of experience in an investment related or banking role and a demonstrable interest in investment research - Knowledge of Emerging Market equity markets / sectors is a distinct advantage - Strong financial modeling and communication skills (oral and written) - Solid accounting and finance knowledge - Well organized with the initiative to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
