Business Unit Head - Healthcare (12-20 yrs)

Core Responsibilities:

- Oversee multiple revenue streams and product lines for the organization. Accountable for the overall P&L for the revenue generating portions of the business.

Sales Responsibilities Includes-

- Develop sales and business development cycles for various revenue streams.

- Hire, manage and grow sales and marketing teams for various channels.

- Establish and revise/update the training scheme for the internal employees and distributor's sales staff.

- Manage key distribution partners.

- Forge business outcome oriented partnerships within India and internationally.

Marketing Responsibilities Include:

- Oversee go-to-market strategies for different product/market opportunities.

- Manage medical advocacy activities with Key Opinion Leaders in India and internationally through internal activities as well as outsourced activities to PR, medical advocacy or other groups. o Liaise with internal departments to secure necessary resources and acquire information needed by sales team to maximize their performance and contribution (e.g. Marketing materials, clinical information etc).

Financial Responsibilities Include

- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.

- Manage financial resources for maximum return on investment- You would be responsible for managing teams executing activities aimed at generating revenue from multiple revenue streams.

Our revenue streams include the following:

- Indian Private Hospitals - We currently sell two products through pediacities around India with on-the-ground sales reps. You would be responsible for overseeing these activities, with support from managers. You would also be accountable setting and managing costs and targets for the team.

- International - Although still early stage, our organization has a strong interest and potential for revenue generation of our life-saving interventions in other low and middle income countries. You would be involved with negotiations and strategy to attack such markets working with organizations like UNICEF, USAID and African or Asian governments.

- Other Revenue Streams - Although not a current priority, you would have the potential to manage additional revenue streams such as retail, online marketing, and sales through distributors or partners.

Company Strategy

- Along with the core team, you would help drive overall company strategy including new product development, managing of costs, fundraising, organization building, recruiting of other top talent and more.

Desired Qualifications :

- The successful candidate would have begun his/her career with at least 2 years in a successful direct selling and/or marketing capacity - understanding how to sell and/or marketing - and listen to customers

- S/he will currently be in a sales management role for a Healthcare (e.g. IVD, device, equipment) company in the India preferably in pediatric and neonatology domain.

- S/he will have considerable experience working across geographical regions, with impressive sales growth through his/her efforts. Ideally his/her work will have focused on the introduction of innovative products.

- The candidate must have at least 10 years- experience leading commercial activities - including product launches - in the medical device, diagnostic, or pharmaceutical space with experience including P&L ownership, marketing plan development, selecting and managing distributors, and key account management.

- Previous work experience in basic marketing principles and applying them in a commercial business environment. Experience within non-sales functions to provide a well-balanced perspective

- Demonstrated experience in managing a sales team within the medical devices industry

- Possess good leadership skills with an ability to coach, motivate and impact people and results remotely

- Experience in managing multiple distributors is critical

- Excellent poise and confidence when interacting with physicians, patients, hospital administrators, and sales staff

- Bachelor in Engineering, B. Pharma, Bio-medical; MBA (preferred)

- 5+ Medical equipment sales and business development experience esp. to pediatrician and neonatologists in hospital and other settings especially in Bangalore

- Prior experience with Public health systems preferred

- At least 5 years P& L experience essential
